From September 1 to September 2, hosted by Badminton Sports Management Center of Liaoning Provincial Sports Bureau and Dalian Badminton Association, Tryouts and Youth Badminton Tournament of Liaoning Division for 2018 Badminton Championship of the Eastern, Western, Southern, Northern and Central China and ‘Dalian Badminton Association Cup’ Junior Badminton Championship (the 3rd Stop) will be held in the Stadium and the Comprehensive Stadium of Dalian Sports Center, respectively.        Badminton Championship of the Eastern, Western, Southern, Northern and Central China is the national mass badminton event of the largest scale and highest standard, which is held annually. Up until now, it has been successfully held for 20 years, and gradually developed into a traditional and brand event in China, representing the highest standard of national amateur badminton event.

       In terms of Tryouts, it will be divided into 7 groups in accordance with age, and set up with such five individual events as men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. The top eight in each group and for each individual event are qualified for regional competitions. Players who obtain places in the Tryouts can win the corresponding points in accordance with the Methods for Points of Amateur Players promulgated by Chinese Badminton Association and apply for the corresponding athletic grades. Not only that, the top 8 for each provincial tryouts are entitled to participate in the four-stop regional competitions. The top 8 for each regional competition qualify for the finals, and the top 2 of each individual event for the finals can watch the international badminton competitions held domestically. And the championships of Group A and Group B for the finals qualify for 2019 National Badminton Championship and have the opportunity to compete with professional athletes and players of National Badminton Team.

       For the Junior Badminton Championship, it will be divided into three groups in accordance with age, and set up with 5 individual events. It is for the first time that Badminton Championship of the Eastern, Western, Southern, Northern and Central China establishes Junior Badminton Championship. In terms of competition system, it will break down the barrier of registration. All the players of the right age can participate in. This will not only broaden the channel of national talents selection but also enhance the influence of badminton sport among teenagers.

       Badminton Championship of the Eastern, Western, Southern, Northern and Central China is held not only to provide a platform to learn from and communicate with each other but also further promote the popularization and development of badminton sport and push ahead the fitness activities for all. Many badminton enthusiasts have been invited by this event. They will gather in Dalian Sports Center and feel the charm of the sports city through competition.
